Ethanol for Fuel mixed with Gasoline

What is ethanol?

  • It is alcohol which is mixed with gasoline to fuel vehicles.
  • It is a renewable oxidant which helps vehicles run cleaner and reduces environmental pollution.
  • It has become a replacement for MTBE, which so far has been the primary non-renewable oxygenating additive. MTBE is being phased out because of health concerns.
